So - So. Product Review My husband is not a sandwich fan so packing his lunch isn't always the easiest thing to do. I was delighted to find this to help me out! It is nice looking, compact, and easy to carry. There are 4 bowls---all a pretty decent size. I couldn't wait to send my husband to work with a hot meal since he works on the road and doesn't have access to a microwave. We aren't as thrilled about this as we hoped we'd be. My husband leaves at 7am and isn't able to eat his lunch until noon. He said his lunch is lukewarm within 5 hours, not hot like I had hoped. We're now only using it for cold foods. Service Review This product arrived in perfect condition 8 days after I ordered it. |

Love our Bentos Holds PLENTY of food, great for using everyday. I use the Ms. Bento, which is smaller, and I purchased the Mr.Bento for my husband. It does keep for hot or cold as well as it says it does. We LOVE our Bentos! |

Excellent product Product Review This is an excellent product. It makes taking lunch to work convenient. Here are some observations: The product is a large, insulated canister containing several independently sealable containers (basically, tupperware). There is a special container for liquids which is water tight and has a gas release valve and rests at the bottom. There is a large container for the main course; this has an insulated lid -- more about that later. There are two more smaller containers that rest on the top. The whole package is capped by a large, bowl-like top which can be used to mix food, and the product comes with a stainless-steel spork that has a "cap," such as you'd find on travel toothbrushes. Mr. Bento also comes with a heavy-duty nylon carrying case, which has external pockets, a shoulder-strap, and a carrying handle. The portions tend to be small because of the sizes of the containers; however, since there are so many of them, I find more than enough room for enough food. I am 6' 230lbs, so I'm not small, but I also have a desk job, so am not physically active. Somebody with a more active career might find the amount of food that can be fit in here to be too little. Since the "main meal" container has an insulated lid, it is possible to have hot soup and main course, and cold desert; this is a clever feature of the product that I especially like, and shows attention to detail. There is a slot in the bag for the spork, and everything fits together quite nicely. However, the main meal container is not water tight, and if the main course of your meal is soup, Mr. Bento isn't very practical. On first inspection, the container looks insufficiently insulated, but in practice, it is amazingly efficient and keeps foods hot and cold -- surprisingly so. After a half-day in room-temperature, food comes out feeling as if they just came from the refrigerator. None of the containers are dishwasher safe, so expect to be hand-washing them. I'm very pleased with the product, and will be buying another one for my wife, who's been coveting mine. Service Review Delivery was prompt. Product was in good condition. I did not need to contact customer service about this order. |
