I am really happy with this bread machine. I have never bought bread from the store since I bought this machine. There are people who use bread machine and there are people who don't. If you are the one who will use bread machine - buy this one and you cannot go wrong. I usually bake my bread in oven over stone, but sometimes I am busy and the option to 'throw ingredients and forget' is better than buying bread from store that is loaded with chemicals, rubber and what not. Only thing I don't like about the machine is, that it does not let you customize your recipe beyond stupid limits set by them (yeah, even with the 'custom' function). Like, you cant set the first rise for more than 16hrs and final rise for more than 2 hrs. Its a problem if you make those slow rise whole grain breads with very little yeast (1/8 teaspoon) and no sugar, no oil (talk about healthy). I don't like bread made by carpet bombing flour with sugar and yeast and laced with oil to force out bread in 2 hours where only flavor you get is of yeast. And, that brings me to my second comment -I don't like the recipe book that comes along with it . I understand the need to get bread out in 2 hours for some but they should also invest in recipes and customization options for people who are willing to wait out for flavorful and healthier bread.
Excellent and easy to use bread maker

I had a cheaper and simpler bread maker before, but I have always found it tedious to make bread: I had to warm up the water, and had to scrape the side because they mixing paddle was not do such a great job. There as a little trap that would drop add-ons like raisins after a while but I found that these usually stayed stuck in the little bin. Also the crust was never the right color independent of the crust control option. The Zojirushi is the best: first the bread pan has a good shape and gives you breads that are not a tall odd shape but actually quite long. The dual paddles are outstanding at mixing the dough. All you nee to do is to put your cold fresh water, flour over, salt, sugar and dry milk in a corner, make a small hole at the top and pour the yeast, press start and after just over 3 hrs you have a perfect loaf. My white bread, cinnamon bread came out amazing. I have not baked the pizza dough yet as I froze it but consistency looked amazing. The only thing is that if you make a bread that requires add-ons like raisins, there is a beep about 45 minutes after you started the machine so you have to be around if you need to add these. But beside this, it is the easier machine to use.
2-lb Home Bakery Virtuoso Bread Maker - What a upgrade!
Jane from NJ– Verified Buyer
I had a breadman which I got near 15 years ago and had not used it for many years already. Recently, I took it out from the storage and used it to make dough. Oh man ... it's so noisy. The pan could not stay in place when kneading, so I had to push it back once a while in order to keeping going ....Time for a upgrade! After review a few of options, I narrowed it down to this Zojirushi's Virtuoso. But I was hesitating a bit. It would be a waste if I did not use much. Anyway, I am glad I did purchase it. A week after receiving it, I made 5 breads already. Each bread came out perfectly!
LOVE my breadmaker

This is my first breadmaker, so I have nothing to compare it to. But, I did a lot of research before picking this one, and I'm very happy with my choice. I recently found out I can't eat gluten, so the gluten bread setting was of particular interest to me. I have made a loaf of bread almost everyday since it came in, and each one has come out perfect and consistently delicious. I would definitely recommend this breadmaker to anyone!!

I love this breadmaker. The buttons are simple and easy to understand and I really like the heating element in the lid of the unit that allows me to choose the darkness of my crust. For my first loaf I chose a recipe that was not in the book that came with the breadmaker and it still turned out perfect. This is a quality unit that I'm sure I wilol enjoy for years to come and I would highly recommend it.
