ZACK Quadro Laundry Bin with Steel Lid - 50514 / 50515

We live in Manhattan and--helas!--don't have a real laundry room in our apt. Just a laundry closet that fits a washer and a drier; nothing else. So we needed a laundry hamper that was NOT an eyesore when out in the open in our nice bathroom. The Quadro Laundry Bin fits the bill, while keeping your laundry nicely ventilated as it waits to be washed. However, I have two problems with it. First, it smudges a bit too easily. There are stainless steel finishes out there that are easier to upkeep and I wonder why Zack would pick one that needs constant and expert polish---sometimes if you don't polish it right it actually gets more smudges. Second, it is really a bit too expensive for what it is. Still, we are happy we got it as it solved our problem and it looks sharp, especially if you use the right technique and polishing product for it. Not sure if our cleaning lady likes it as much as we do, though.
