They bought the originals well over twenty years ago, and they show no signs of wear other than paint which was changed for color to match their decor over the years. The new chair has what looks like a stamped plate with flower design instead of more wrought style used years ago, but it is still excellent quality and matches the existing pieces. Chuck from Evergreen CO	1.0 6/9/2011 NOT the quality I expected from Woodard When you rock in the chair it makes a 'grinding', 'squeaking', 'rubbing' sound that is very annoying. I bought a complete patio set from Woodard (Windflower series) 10 years ago and it was and still is a great patio set. It is still like new. The Briarwood High Back Swivel Rocker I just bought is not of the same high quality that the Windflower was and I would NOT recommend it to anyone to purchase. The quality of the metal is also less then it used to be. It is too bad that Woodard reduced the quality of their products. PS I have to admit, it is still a very comfortable chair to sit in.
