Solidly constructed, nicely finished and easy to assemble, but these stands DWARF both my Audioengine P4 speakers and my M-Audio AV40 speakers that I use for my desktop computer audio systems. I wish they made a smaller size. Oh, and my stands didn't come with the "custom adjustable spikes included for base" but an extra set of rubber feet instead. But it was no biggie, since my speakers are on a desk anyway and the rubber feet work out better. I mounted my P4s on the stands by drilling a 1/4" hole in the top plate and using a 1" long 1/4" bolt screwed into the threaded insert in the bottom of the P4, giving it a 1/2" overhang on the front edge to avoid any audio reflections from the top plate. Lucky from NY	4.0 9/29/2011 Almost Perfect Great in every way except one...no speaker canal on the bottom of stand. It has a channel cut out in the back to hide wire and leads through the bottom of the base. But the design has no channel for a wire on the bottom of the base leaving the stand sitting on the wire. This creates an unbalanced speaker waiting to fall over. How hard would it have been to go the extra mile and put in a channel on the bottom? Otherwise very happy. Was this helpful? Yes / No
Lucky from Woodstock, NY	4.0 9/23/2011 Almost Perfect These speaker stands are well built, very attractive, functional, and look great on my hardwood floors. My only gripe is a small one: they come with a built-in canal to hide the speaker wire. The wire feeds into the stand and comes out the bottom of the base. But there's no canal for the bottom base, so it sits on top of the wire. How hard would it have been to notch out a canal in the base to provide stability? Otherwise very satisfied. Was this helpful?
