The actual wood seems O.K. but the metal in the cam bolt heads is too soft and creates problems with stripping. The cam locks didn't work at all, not because I had never put a unit together using them but they wouldn't lock down or seat correctly.

It took me a long time to find the right storage for a multitude of old LPs. I ordered the base, one additional stack unit and casters. It is very well constructed, assembled easily, and slides into the corner next to my stereo cabinet.

Sturdy,quality piece of A/V furniture. Basic in styling but well designed.

This really is a beautiful piece of furniture. The pictures on the web site doesn't do it justice. It's solidly built, high quality and hardwood all the way, with one exception. The exception is the backing board that is nailed to the back of the unit. First of all, it doesn't quite fit, it's a tad small. The hardwood pieces have cutouts where the backing board goes, however, the board is a few milimeter to small (I bought 3 units, they were all identical) so it doesn't fit snugly inside the cutouts/grooves. The board has premarked holes for nails, but during assembly I was concerned that the nails would go too close to the edge of the hardwood underneath. That didn't happen, but I wish the board had fit better. Also, the backing board is just plain ugly, not nearly as smooth and polished as the rest of the unit. I was actually tempted not to install it, but decided to do it to keep dust out. Also, it's mostly hidden when loaded up with albums and equipment. Another minor problem I had during assembly was that the cambolts were VERY tight, and difficult to screw into the pre-drilled holes. Other than these minor details I'm quite happy with how this turned out. I have 3 units standing side by side (didn't bother with casters), loaded up with LPs and Laserdiscs.

It's almost impossible to find cabinets for LP/Album Storage. This cabinet is perfect. I bought two. I love that they are designed to set something on top of them. I put stereo speakers on them - they fit and look perfect!

I was in the organizing mood, and I wanted to get the family's record albums out of boxes and off the floor. This fit my purposes perfectly. It is made of real wood. My husband and I assembled it without too much difficulty; the instructions weren't too bad. Just be aware that the casters DO NOT come with this unit--you have to order separately; I found out the hard way. The units that are designed to fit on top stack very well. The whole unit is very sturdy.

I was looking for the following in LP storage: actual wood, sturdy, ease of assembly, reasonable price, and decent looking. This product meets all criteria. I have 6 and have stacked 3 high. Sturdy, looks great, nice solution.
