Top Notch - A#1- Can't get any better

In reading the only other review, I was unsure but started thinking about the comments. It doesn't make sense that the company would put holes in the back. They don't know where my wall supports are. They'd have to drill 100's of holes which would detract from the appearance. It was very easy even for me (a woman) to put in the necessary holes. And if I wanted to put it on a desk or table in instead of wall hanging it, I wouldn't want those holes in it anyway. The hardware would have been nice but I called the company (actually talked to the President) and asked why they didn't include it. He said only 25-30 percent of people mount them directly on a wall. Some put them on a shelf that's already on the wall, on the floor, a table, etc. If they included the hardware with each rack, most would be thrown away, filling up our already crowded landfills and the price would have to be increased to account for the cost of the hardware, packing it and the additional shipping costs. This makes sense to me.
CD Wall Mount Storage Rack

I was very disappointed with this product. The oak is very nice and it's put together well, but the "Wall Mount" in the title in VERY misleading. To me, this implies that it's ready to be wall-mounted, when indeed it is not. You have to buy a piece of metal, which doesn't come in the size they tell you to buy, so you have to take it to an iron store to have it cut or risk jagged edges using a hack saw. There are no pre-drilled holes in the rack, and who wants to ruin the nice oak by trying to drill their own holes? The title of this unit is very misleading and I will not buy from this company again.
