Winsome Night Stand in Natural - 81115

Beautiful piece of furniture.

The night stand was easy to assemble and looks great in the bedroom. The top, drawer and frame of the cabiinet are solid wood, but the panels are all plastic -not even veneer. Fortunately, the materials blend enough and the piece isn't where lots of people could see it anyway. All in all, I would recommend it--just know what you're getting.

I wanted to stain this for a mahogany finish and called to ask if it could be done. I was told that everything that faces outside is real wood and that if I sanded the natural finish first I could stain it. I started it and did the wood drawer front and back an then realized that the sides are laminate, NOT wood. I would not have bought this if I had known the sides were not wood!

It's a little deceptive to say sturdy beech wood construction, because the back, sides, and the inside of the door are all made out of a flimsy board with wood "finish." The top, frame, and the drawer are made out of real wood which is nice. The biggest problem we had was the drawer was too high- it didn't quite fit it. We had to sand it down a bit till it would slide in all the way. Otherwise, it's a nice piece which was pretty easy to assemble and is practical, for a good price.

Made mostly of actual wood. Great for storing children's shoes. The couple of laminate surfaces it has did have a bit of a less attractive cool tint to them, but overall it still looks nice as well as functions great

I would not recommend this item for actual use. It is OK if you are just using it to stage a room. Made with real wood, but the sides are fiberboard. The drawers don't work well either.
