This wine rack is sturdy and works perfect for me. I bought two of them. I looked at all of the wine racks. I decided on these because they are metal and sturdy. No worries about broken bottles here! My wife is planning on buying a large buffet table with wine storage for the dining room. Since it will only hold a few bottles, the purchase of these two wine racks for the basement will work perfectly for me. I will be buying more. You can't go wrong here. I looked into alot of different wine racks before finally deciding on this one. Some of my early picks were 100+ bucks but in the end I couldnt justify that type of purchase for a wine rack that held the same number (and sometimes even fewer) than this rack. I love this rack. Somewhere out in cyberland is a person who reviewed this product and said that the original hardware did not hold and she lost all her stemware. Her tale of woe was appreciated because I was able to modify how I hung these to ensure the safety of my wine glasses. I screwed a 70 inch 1X2 wood furring strip into the wall studs of my dining room (4 screws total) then screwed the racks into furring strip with cabinet screws. I also modified picture hangers to cant the racks up slightly so that my glasses would never slip off because some of the dowels aren't perfectly straight.
