Wine Glasses

These glasses were purchased to be used at our neighborhood Sunday brunches. They are quite substantial and beautifully simple in design. They wash well and while not indestructible, are quite sturdy for careless users. Possibly the only drawback (not for me) is some of my guests found these "champagne glasses" to be a bit too heavy. While the glasses are not for a formal setting, they do blend well with most other occasions and accessories.Also I should advise that I have the Dansk Karin goblets, the red wine glasses and the white wine glasses. The Lismore Iced Beverage glasses are not only beautiful to look at but are very functional. I purchased these as a gift for a friend who will use them as water glasses when wine is served at formal dinners. Lismore's wine glasses are so small that she uses the regular water goblet for red wine and the wine hock for white wine. These glasses are quite large but a wonderful way to fully experience red wine. You can swirl easily and as you sip your wine the bowl is large enough that the aromas of the wine are enjoyed with every sip. After searching the web for a decent price on these, I found Wayfair. I was hesitant to order from them because I had never heard of them before finding them on the web. The prices were the best by far and Wayfair's reviews were great so I decided to take a chance. These were on backorder when I wanted them and they were not supposed to be in stock until after Christmas but they came in early and Wayfair notified me. The price difference was enough to make me return the same glasses to Macy's and order from Wayfair. They were here in plenty of time for Christmas!
