Great Wine Rack for the price
C. from Fulton, MD– Verified Buyer
This rack is great for the price. This is good to put in a basement as it is primarily functional as opposed to good looking. Thanks to some of the other reviews, I was prepared for the spacing issue. If you drill it to the wall without adding spacers, there is not enough room for the bottles to slide back and rest in there safely. Spacers must be added. I simply cut up some small pieces of plywood, no big deal. Assembly is easy. My biggest issue was drilling into our concrete wall without the proper concrete drill bit, but with a little persistence I did manage and no help from my husband was necessary. As previous reviewers have stated this will not hold larger bottles. I am happy with this purchase.
Think Carefully Before Buying

A few years ago, we took a resort suite based in large part on photos of the unit. Needless to say, clever use of a "fish-eye" lens made to the space look more spacious and open than reality. The same is true here. Three big problems are disguised by the product photos. First, the grid spacing is a mere 3-1/2" square, making it too small for bottles with larger diameters. Second, the space between the wall and the unit is only 1-1/2". The spacing between the front and back grids is only about 5".
Great for the price

Great product for the price. Had read the reviews and agree that you need a spacer between the rack and the wall - did that, with little issues. The directions are not that great, but not too hard to figure out solutions on your own. After it was put together, it seemed a little wobbly, but got better the more bottles you put in. Right now it is 3/4 full and quite a bit steadier. If you want something really sturdy, put forth the xtra money. Otherwise for $100 it is a decent rack.

I bought two racks for a temporary solution. We will be building a wine cellar in a couple of months. The racks are fine but, the openings are to small !

This is a nice wine rack. So far it's working out fine. I didn't realize it needed to be attached to a wall, but we made it happen and it's good and sturdy now.
