The size of the console is perfect for a hallway. It is much MUCH darker than pictured, so if you were looking forward to the rich tones of the wood in the picture, forget about it. You WILL get a solid colored espresso console table.

The color is FAR from what is pictured-- there are no tones to it as shown. It is a SOLID, VERY DARK, FLAT TOBACCO color. Whether it is a pro or con in what you are looking for, the hardware does not stand out in any way on the piece.

I absolutely love this table. Just an FYI though.. the table is more of an espresso color in real life.

Very happy with the piece. Using it as a console table in entryway. It is solid, seems well made and finished,especially for the price. Color is slightly darker than it shows in the picture - more of a dark espresso. This is much better in our case as it matches the rest of our furniture better.
