We bought this for my 7 year old son, who has been sleeping in his toddler bed. His room is rather small, so this was ideal for sleeping and studying now that he is in elementary school. I do suggest installing a light underneath since it is quite dark (especially with this color). My husband just hang a shop light with chains around the support beams. It took him about 4 hours to put it together by himself (I helped lifting the bed on top of the desk part). My son loves it. The quality is better than I thought, and it is a great deal for what it is.

Used free shipping, given 4-hour window (1pm-5pm), unfortunately the carrier didn't make it on time, and my husband had to leave at 5:15 to pick up our son. They called him around 5:30 and told him they were on their way. They were very apologenic and carried the pieces (came in three pieces) inside the house for us, so we were happy with their willingness to correct the situation.

It takes a bit of time to remove all the assembly stickers (each piece has a small 1x1 letter label). I also warn be careful how you install the bed so that the WarningSafety Compliance tag on the bed does not face outward (as it is a bit unsightly). The piece looks like the photo. It is very sturdy. A lovely deep brown wood with an even finish. It met all my needs and was very affordable compared to similar loft beds.

I have bought two of these units and used them for my teenage girls who are in the same room. The floor space has opened up and they each get their private area. It is well made and solid wood, no particle board which you don't get now a days unless you are willing to pay a fortune. The setup took a little over 2 hours with 2 people working at it.

The bed is beautiful and more than we expected. The desk area looks rather small in the picture but it isn't at all - it is huge with plenty of room for working and storage. Assembly wasn't too bad, took a little bit of time but nothing major and we had no problem with any parts. [...]

My 14yr old daughter was needing more space in an already small room for a desk. We decided to try this bed. I can not express how satisfied we are with this selection. Solid wood construction, easy to assemble (little muscle needed). [...] once assembled, lights were installed underneath the bed for the desk area. (too dark with out them.) Very pleased with the bookshelf designs. This opened up her room and gave her the much needed space for a desk. Great way to utilize space in small areas. Now all her friends want one...I have passed the word for Wayfair.

The bed is extremly sturdy. Wood is solid. Only draw back I found was strong odor from stain, needed to air out prior to letting son sleeping in room. Otherwise very happy with this selection. Happy with quality and price.

The bed fit just right in our son's room. He is a big reader and computer user. The workstation and shelves allowed us to free up addtional space in the room. He is very pleased.
