"Hello Fiona. The color of this item is described by the manufacturer as "Deep Cappuccino." I would not describe this chair as being almost black. I would describe the finish as more of an "Espresso" color, basically dark brown."

Would have given a five star but some of the parts are actually crooked (they have machining marks and not cut straight). Im not sure if they can stand the wear and tear of high traffic or heavy daily use. Im a woodworker so I probably will take them apart and strenghten the cross member pieces as soon as I find the right color of stain. Cathy from Willow Beach, ON	5.0 12/21/2011 Amazing! Product Review I only have one chair together so far, but Im very happy with it...it looks very rich and seems quite sturdy...well worth the money. It came packaged well...no damage to the stools...instructions were included. The only thing that went wrong was there were a couple of screws already in the holes which I didnt notice (or expect) so we tried to screw a screw on top of a screw (if that makes sense) and ended up making two little holes in the stools (thankfully theyre not too noticeable) so I would advise checking this out before you start. Other than that I would definitely recommend these bar stools. Service Review Delivery was great, the stools arrived on time in good shape. No complaints! Was this helpful? Yes / No
