The finish in the description says "dark oak finish." You can tell by looking at the picture it's definately darker. I would call it dark walnut. I'm very happy with this purchase. Was this helpful? Easy to assemble, 30 minutes, all wood, beautiful and looks richer than the picture. We looked at so many hall tree's and we couldn't have made a better pick and nor will you.
