No extra tools were needed to put it together. The chair is beautiful with soft leather and mahogany wood. I bought it in taupe which looks very rich. The chair is extremely sturdy and made well. You don't sink down into the cushion which is good for someone like me who needs to stay awake in order to write my novel at least 8 hours a day. It is firm to sit in yet so comfortable that it is surprising. This was a good purchase and worth the $479. Was this helpful? Yes / No

My only question is: what does bonded leather mean, because it appears to be all vinyl. I do like the looks of it, but the description is inaccurate in my opinion, especially at that price. It was very easy to assemble and the wood is beautiful.
