Could be better...

The overall appearance of this item is good. Mine arrived with some chips and issues with the finish. For example, the finish on one of the sliding doors was wavy, as if too much stain was applied and ran down. There were about 3 other problems with chips and scratches out of the box. Fortunately for my particular item, the scratches are concealed on the underside or inside of the item itself. As for the poor stain job, it is on the front but the finish is dark enough that unless you are giving it a good examination, you shouldn't see it. One major thing to note is the dimension of depth. The product description says something like 18" but in reality, it is less. I have a Yamaha Receiver in it but because of the way the doors are designed (one in front of the other and both in the interior dimension of the stand), I would say it measures to more like 16.5" deep for storage. My receiver, as with most, has a large volume knob which is in danger of being snapped off should my daughter attempt to slam the door shut. I would not recommend this product to anyone else at this price or build quality. It would be amazing if the quality was there, it's just not. If you have few, small components, this would be fine but be wary of the chips and scratches when you unpack and make sure not to assemble it if any of them would lie on the exterior or on a visible surface.
Better than Expected

This stand was quite easy to put together with the exception of two screw holes that were slightly off. As with other reviews, I had to vacuum the pieces before assembly because the packing foam stuck to everything. The stand is sturdy and expensive looking. I would have rated it 5 stars but the inside center wall had a damaged corner.

This piece is beautiful and exactly what I needed. It wouldn't have taken too long to put together but I had 2 problems: 1) all the pieces were covered in its of Styrofoam that had broken off, so I had to vacuum everything as I put it together, and 2) the two size boards were mislabeled, which I didn't discover was problematic until the last step. But after all that it was worth it because this thing is wonderful. Great color, easy cord organization, and room underneath for storage.
Looks nice, but...

I like the look of this TV stand but find that the door where I have the DVR/Cable box has to remain open in order for the remote to work. Not that big of a deal but thought with the slats in the door that it could remain closed.

Perfect TV stand.
