My Kids Love IT!!!
coolmom from Natchez,MS
The bunk bed looks great. my kids are 1 and 3 so i didn't attach the ladder to the bed it has hooks that attach to the ladder then your supposed to screw it onto the bed. but since i have a 1 year old i just take the ladder off during the day and put it on the top bunk. the rail on the top bed is high enough that i'm not worried that my 3 year old will fall out and on the bottom i have one of those things that has the bar that goes under the mattress then a mesh thing that raises up to keep my one year old from falling out.and i love that it can also be used as 2 seperate beds so when they get older i can split them up.the only thing is the support boards under each mattress are flimsy, but we havent replaced them yet cause they are fine for my young kids but i know when they get older we will deffinately have to put better boards under them. i would definately recommend this bunk bed.
Beautiful Bunk Bed for young children!
Mr. & Mrs. Watters from Lynwood, CA – Verified Buyer
I love this bunk bed for the most part. I purchased it for my 4 yr. old and 1 1/2yr. old. The younger one is still in a crib, but transitioning into the bunk bed. He will be using the lower bunk. I love how sturdy it is, doesn't wobble, it is thick, has a beautiful finish. I had looked at others since we are on a very tight budget and decided to take a risk and purchase this one. I am glad I did. Given the price I think it is a steal compared to other places for around this price range for the quality you receive. Now for the cons, they're not all that big, since I would still purchase this set in a heartbeat. For starters, I don't like the wide gaps on the bottom frame of both bunks. The part that would support the mattress. I wish they were either wider pieces of wood, or more pieces. I'm still kinda skeptical with these kids as to how it will hold up. Also, given that this bunk bed is more for younger children, they get into everything, literally. I love that this bed has a beautiful finish, but for both bunks, the pieces of wood that hold the mattress, they are not even sanded, so you must be careful of splinters. Why leave everything else nice, but that. Also, it would be nice to have clearer instructions, as it took us a while to figure it out. Definantly separate all your screws before starting. It caused a hole on our top bunk for using a screw that looked nearly identical to the one that should have been used. They should come separated and labeled according to where they will be used. Also, I didn't really like the fact that on the top bunk they have some stickers that are warning/reference labels that should not be removed. It makes the bed look ugly. But my oldest son got into it, ripped a huge part off, and now looks uglier. But with small children and them being boys I don't expect much. I rather their safety above all, and I definantly feel it with this particular bunk bed set. I would like to have had more security securing the ladder, but we'll see what we can do. It attaches with two very small screws. We are missing one so we will try to go down to the hardware store to replace it. But above all, I still would recommend it. I just wish the manufacturer could make some minor improvements. P.S. There are solid rods that hold the bunks together. They are rather short, so be careful. If your kids are strong enough, they could keep trying to lift the top bunk from the bottom. It would be nice to be able to secure it better or for it to have larger rods in place making it more difficult for them to move it.
great quality bed

Great bed, beautiful finish, real wood. the setup was very easy, you just need two people to put the top bunk on. I think it could even be used as two separate twin beds if you do not put top bunk railing on. I only felt the space between top and bottom bunk could be larger. I cannot sit on bottom bunk for reading books etc.. and even my 2yr old daughter is kind of tight sitting up. She loves the bed though. hence I would just suggest if you have a toddler on the bottom and an older child on top. top bed has therefore lots of room to the ceiling.
Slat BrokeCost Increase
Jenn from Lexington, KY – Verified Buyer
We bought these beds in mid 2011. The wood is beautiful and I am very pleased with how they look. However one of the slats did break after only about a year. And my son weighs next to nothing. I tried to get wayfair to replace the slat, but go the run around. I finally just made my husband cut me a new one from some hardwood he had left over from another project. I would have given this be 4 or maybe even 5 stars if we hadn't had an issue with the slat. Also, we paid only $240 for the beds back in 2011. I can't believe they are now almost $400!!
better than expected

Kids love it!

We bought the bunk beds for our 5 and 7-year-old children. It fits very nicely in their room. Not too high and doesn't take up too much room. It looks beautiful, good quality materials. It was easy to put together. My husband and I had it finished in a couple of hours. The reason I did not give it five stars is because two of the pieces did not fit right. We made adjustments ourselves because we simply did not have time to call customer service. I would also recommend placing something where the ladder hooks on to the bed. It slides around and scratches up the wood. I would definitely recommend the product. It looks beautiful in the room.
Good for kids, not adults
Grandma from Granville, MA
We bought the bunks for our grandkids (ages 5 and 3) to use when they visit. The kids love them, and I am very satisfied with how solid and sturdy they are. My only concern is that there is not much headroom on the bottom bunk, so when they get a little taller that could become an issue. It is really difficult for me to reach in and make the bed, and I cannot sit on the bottom bunk without hitting my head on the top one. We were unable to use our existing twin mattress, because it was too thick, so I bought 6 inch bunk mattresses, but there is still not as much as I would like.

I got my bunk beds a few months ago. It took forever to arrive (about 2 months). but now that we have them, I am SO glad I made this purchase! they are very sturdy and wont move when kids clime on them. the ladder did make some marks on the wood, but its no big deal. I now wish they would have made a trundle to go under it.
Love this bed!!!
Momof2gr8kids from Rapid City, SD
This is just what we were looking for. Our two children (3 yr. old girl and 21 month old boy) share a bedroom and we needed a bed that would work for both of them. They love it! We found no problems with the mattress support boards at all. [...] The only con is that this scratches really easy. Overall we are very very happy.
Good value, ok quality.

* Good looking bunk bed. * easy to assemble. * Pretty sturdy. * Good for pre-teens and younger. * So so hardwares, some bolts and helix (nuts) slipped even before I tried to tighten them. * spacing of mattress support slats (6 per bed) are a bid too far apart for young child, (a foot apart) 1 or 2 more slats would have been perfect.
