Beautiful, durable, insulating, and cushioning.

This cork flooring was part of a kitchen update. The product was floated over a concrete slab and was installed directly over the old linoleum, used as the moisture barrier. The cork is amazing! The kitchen is several degrees warmer (I no longer need slippers in the morning to come down and make coffee because the floor is freezing in the winter). It's also very cushioning. The concrete slab/linoleum combination meant that after standing and baking and cooking for hours for holidays (Thanksgiving, etc.) my knees, hips, and ankles would be stiff or sore (and I'm not that old). This year, the holidays were very different. I didn't notice any of the after-effects of the concrete floor now that the cork was installed. One caution -- this particular pattern is very "busy" so while it worked well with my rather plain cabinets and countertop, if you are installing it in a kitchen that has a lot of other patterns, you may want to consider one of the less detailed flooring patterns. Additionally, the delivery is suboptimal. A subcontractor dropped a pallet (heavy) at the curb. My husband and I had to cut open the pallet and carry in the individual boxes one by one. It wasn't a deal-breaker for us, but you may want to think about how to get the boxes where you want them before they arrive (particularly if it's raining).
Love our new floor

We had an old and unsightly floor before ordering the Wicander cork. The gym looks beautiful now. I love walking into that room! -- Lucy Avlonitis Pros: anti-microbial and acts as a sound barrier to a large degree Cons: none so far

The color is not even remotely close to the image shown. It is more of a light beige with pinkish undertones. Not gray or taupe.
