These lights came in one piece ( my biggest fear)....and the tempered glass turned the efficient flourescent lighting into a soft glow.

Gorgeous - but some will break during shipping

These are absolutely gorgeous - beautiful light! The sensor works well as well. However, order some extra - half of mine reached broken - perhaps shippingpacking issues.
Less expensive does the trick

I had purchased a Maxim lamp on a post. I wanted a similar one to put on the garage door on the other side of the sidewalk directly across from the post. This Westinghouse matches nicely, and was significantly less expensive than the Maxim lantern. It has the features I had wanted: glass that obscures the bulbs, a darkness sensor, energy star. My neighbor complimented me on it, unsolicited. The darkness sensor is a little too sensitive, and the lantern is larger than the one on the lamp post, but I'm pleased overall.

Pleased with low power consumption design and photocell activation. This is a very good looking lamp and lights up a nice amount of area.
