I wanted a home leg machine that was a step up from the units attached to the front of many home benches. I have bad knees, so being able to properly adjust the machine was important, and I wanted something that was high quality.The Body Solid GCEC340 definitely meets my needs. It's well built and intelligently thought out. I'm very happy.Two things to consider:* The weights hang at the bottom of the pivot, like a pendulum. At the bottom of the stroke the weight is easy to move, getting harder as your legs go through the motion. This is not like a Nautilus-style machine where the resistance is consistent -- but this unit is also far less expensive.* Plan a good piece of a day to assemble this, and lay all the hardware out first.
