Weight Benches

I purchased the BFOFB about two weeks ago and I'm happy with my purchase. You would probably think that a fold-up bench would prove cheesy, well it's not. I'm confident that the bench uprights could hold up to 300lbs safely. The width between the uprights will give most individuals enough room to comfortable place their grips without pinching their hands after unracking/racking the bar. The seat pad and back pad are spaced about three inches from each other(which is unique for a bench)and it may irritate some individuals. However, I'm 6'1" and it doesn't really bother me. I am using the bench exclusively for flat benching, so I haven't tried the three various positions of the back pad. I also will not be using the leg-lift feature(I do front/back squats). I had already owned, and was quite satisfied with a Best Fitness folding incline sit up bench, so I was familiar with their products. When it came time to order a folding dumbbell/utility bench I looked into what they had, compared the alternatives, and then went with this one. I weigh approx 250 pounds and can handle some heavy dumbbells. This bench seems to take it in stride without any hitches. The basic design can stand some improvement in the way that there's nothing to lock the legs and pad in the folded storage position, so if you want to store the bench vertically, you'll need a bungee cord, but Best Fitness did include attachment points on the legs for the bungee hooks.
