This preacher curl bench has good quality materials and it is easy to assembly. The arms rest pad is adjustable and it also has a security pin for adding robustness and avoid shaking of the whole thing once doing your workout. A nice and good looking bench to have at home. However, the reason why I am giving 4 stars in my review is because when assembling the bench noticed that one of the screw holes for getting the arm rest pad in place was not aligned within tolerance for getting the arm rest pad correctly straight. So, I had to force the screw a little bit to get it in position. This tells me the QA inspection at the factory it is not that rigorous."..."  Read more

I wanted a home leg machine that was a step up from the units attached to the front of many home benches. I have bad knees, so being able to properly adjust the machine was important, and I wanted something that was high quality.The Body Solid GCEC340 definitely meets my needs. It's well built and intelligently thought out. I'm very happy.Two things to consider:* The weights hang at the bottom of the pivot, like a pendulum. At the bottom of the stroke the weight is easy to move, getting harder as your legs go through the motion. This is not like a Nautilus-style machine where the resistance is consistent -- but this unit is also far less expensive.* Plan a good piece of a day to assemble this, and lay all the hardware out first.
