First off. The bookcase is great for the price. However, I wouldn't put it anywhere children or dogs might get to it because it's not very sturdy. Assembly consisted of cardboard pegs and double sided tape. I'm not exaggerating that's all it is. Very cool looking once built (which took about five minutes). Just not built to last.
nice looking but not super sturdy

I really like the look of this bookcase and it was very easy to put together. Unfortunately, I noticed the other day that the top corner is already warped (possibly from a water spill). I guess this is what happens with any cardboard-based materials, but still a bit of dissapointment since I only put it together about a month ago.
Beautiful Contempory Shelving Conversation Piece
Kimberly from Clearwater, FL– Verified Buyer
This is more of a conversation piece than a bookcase. It was easy to assemble, just know that is it a recycled paper product. It looks beautiful. I have DVDs and CDs on half of three shelves and some light weight decor in the other spaces. I wouldn't put anything too heavy on this or put actual books in this case.
Great value, but not built to last

These bookcases look great; they are simple to assemble but they are not super sturdy. That is the nature of using recycled materials, though. I am pleased, though I am sure if I ever move they will need to be replaced.

easy to assemble--yes, coolness factor--yes, environmentally conscious--yes, useful--yes, enduring through the generations--no. Your children will not inherit this hip bookcase.
Easiest assembly ever

I've had it put together and up a few days...seems to be doing good. Make sure you let the glue settle for 24 hrs like it says. The instructions were not the easiest to figure out....the diagram is for both the regular shelf AND the funny shaped one. Once you figure which is which, its smooth sailing. Some of the pieces were crunched at the corners. I suppose it crossed the US and its all paper-ish material so I guess it couldn't be helped. It wasn't enough for me to send back, since I only noticed it after i started peeling all the paper off the adhesive.
Love that it's recycles

Super easy to put together, no tools needed! It looks awesome and unique, too. I don't understand how all of the combinations could be made, judging by the placement of the holes, so that was a bit confusing. The bookcase is surprisingly sturdy, even though it's recycled material. Love it!

This is not durable at all, but it's a cool looking shelf. I don't expect it to last through my next move but for the price I don't really care. Easy as pie to put together- purchased two of these, I did one and my ten year old did the other, took us each about half an hour. They look great!

Easy to construct, sturdy, only issue I have is that you can see the seem where the pieces fit together.
C from Los Angeles, CA– Verified Buyer
These are very flimsy and have GLUE STRIPS holding pieces of it together, no joke. But they'll do for now. They look nice. Just don't move them too much.
