I purchased this because we have spring water and sometimes when it rains hard(like the past week) we get a lot of sediment in our water. While our water filter on the sink filters our drinking/cooking water, all other water is not filtered. This was put on at the inlet pipe in the basement and even after all the rain we got in NE PA with past week, our water was clear and clean. The filter works great. My family uses this water filter everyday for drinking, cooking, coffee and even for filling our dogs' water bowl. Personally have used Brita, GE and Everpure systems in the past. This thing beats them all in taste and freshness. We fill and chill reusable plastic bottles and there's never any hint of plastic taste or stinky plumbing odor even when the bottles are left out and warm up a bit. Straight out of the faucet this water tastes really clean and refreshing. Water doesn't need to be super "cold" as with many low-end carbon filters. UV/ozone is definitely the way to go. Installation is easy for DIY types. A bit pricy up front for sure, but worth every penny you'll save on bottled water. Bought and installed one for my mother-in-law and she loves hers too. Absolutely maintenance free. Changing filters is a snap. BTW, it's not Aluminum as the description says. I checked with the company and it's all approved plastic for drinking water."..."  Read more

We live on the ocean and have well water. Even with the water softening system in the cellar and an under-sink filter, our water still did not taste all that good. The Britta is super. Thank you Wayfairs for having competitive pricing [...] and good packaging of my purchase. This replacement ceramic water filter is inline to my Franke Little Butler instant-hot under my bar sink. It also filters the cold water faucet and U-Line mini-refrigerator ice maker. The water supply is straight from Phoenix SRP water system. It has a better taste than the water processed from my Premier R.O. system under my kitchen sink. I've used this setup for 12 years and replace the filter approximately every 9 months. BTW., I just replaced the Franke insta-hot heater with a WasteKing heater. Pretty good for it to last 12 years! We'll see if I have any luck with the new one."..."  Read more
