Not as solid as I had hoped

I ordered this lamp because I loved the simplicity of the design and I knew it would match the rest of my Arts & Crafts/Mission decor. I was disappointed when it arrived because the glass panels were wrapped separately from the shade frame. In order to install the glass, I had to bend back some metal tabs that were designed to pinch/hold the glass in place. Immediately, 3 of the metal tabs broke off. Thankfully, there were enough intact tabs remaining to firmly hold the glass in place. Once the lamp was assembled, I got some bulbs so I could see how it looked when illuminated. I pulled on one of the pull chains and the plastic housing around one of the bulbs cracked. I was able to repair it with super glue and black electrical tape and no one (but me) has noticed. Overall, once assembled, the lamp looks great. But, I was disappointed in all of the flaws during assembly. I should note that I'm quite handy and do lots of home repair projects myself, so I don't believe that these flaws were of my own doing. Like many people, the thought of repacking the lamp parts and shipping them back seemed like too much of a pain. In the end, I'm happy I kept it because it looks nice.

Looks just like the picture and goes great with the mission furniture we have. Easy to put together. Good quality.
