Awesome Cat Scratching Post
Julie from San Leandro, CA – Verified Buyer
My cat loves to be brushed, so much so that my hand hurts long before she gets tired of the brushing. I saw this product and thought I had found the answer to my aching hands. My finicky cat walked around the post for a week, avoiding it like the plague. My heart sunk. Then all of a sudden she went up to it, started scratching her claws, then rubbing her face and body all over the bristles. From then on this has been her favorite toy/post. I've seen other scratching posts, but none were as well made as this one. It is made of hard wood covered with thick material which can take a lot of nail sharpening and abuse. It also doesn't tip over with aggressive scratching and playing. This is a great cat post that will last a long time.

I purchased this item hoping that my cat would crawl under it to brush him to eliminate some of the shedding in the house. The problem is that the brush portion of this item is not secured in the platform. The twisted wire is inserted in a predrilled hole in the platform. This item would be so much better if it was secured with a screw in the platform. My cat is large he can pull the brush out of the platform when he walks under it or around it.
So far, little interest in the brush

The product arrived promptly, was as advertised and assembled easily. As others have mentioned, I found that the brush does not stay in place if even lightly touched. We are working on a way to stabilize it. Three of our five cats use the base to sharpen their claws and rub on the catnip. Three are too small to touch the brush when they walk under it. We are planning to make it stand lower to catch them. My biggest cat thinks it is all just fine until the brush falls on him. Then he hisses at it. The first time he swatted it but did not approve of the bristles on his paws. He loves the base. They do need to improve the stability of the brush to keep it in place.
To be fair our cat would have nothing to do with it even though we positioned it underneath a table that she ALWAYS walked under.

Construction and size seem to be good but the cat wouldn't use it. She rubs on everything else in the house. If we kept her in a kennel she might eventually get used to it if we stationed it at the door to the kennel.

When they use it they like it. Does fall apart-just needs some glue. Much nicer than others I've seen

The brush Is loose after a month. Other than that the cat loves it.

I really like this. My cat thinks that she is a person and totally ignored it, but her cousin will love it.

Our don't use it as much as I thought they would. Also i wish their was someway to secure the brush to the base. I have a giant cat and he pulls the brush out when he stands up in it.
My cat loves it and he is hard to please

Great item. I have recommended it to all my friends. I wish it was a bit sturdier but overall you cannot go wrong if your cat likes to be brushed.

This could have had a bit more to it to hold together. None the less, it's functional. It may just need a little gorilla glue.
