I am used to a flat frypan for making crepes. The crepe maker took some adjusting to but now I love using it. I have found that it is wonderful for heating items from leftovers to tortillas. The book that came with the crepe maker has many ethnic recipes. The maker is easy to clean, heats up fast and gives an even all around cooking surface. I found spreading the batter is an acquired skill. Use lots of batter and spread to the edges. A large wooden rake does the best job.
