This Calphalon No Peek waffle maker is absolutely one of the best small kitchen appliances that we have ever bought. It makes perfect and delicious waffles every time and it is very easy to use and to clean. The waffle maker is also very nice looking with the stainless steel and chrome parts and it blends well with the other stainless appliances. Compared to other waffle makers that I considered buying, this one really makes some of the others look cheaply built and flimsy. We like the feature that allows us to choose between light, medium, and dark waffles. We like dark waffles best and they come out exactly right every time. And nothing ever sticks to the plates. I paid a few dollars more than some of the cheaper waffle makers, but the small difference is nothing when you consider the appearance and quality of the appliance. Just let the plates heat up, pour on the batter, and listen for the chime that lets you know when the waffles are done."..."  Read more

This is a no brainer appliance just read the guide for first time use. It is well constructed. Cooks evenly and fast. A audible beep sounds when waffle is ready. We use a malted belgian waffle mix, this makes a good waffle great. We have had this for about a year and with no problems. I feel the Waring Belgian Waffle Maker is the best bang for your buck. I have never had a waffle iron before and after reading reviews all over the internet I finally chose this one. I am glad I did! The timer, lights, and beeper work just like they should. The adjustable dial works just right, as well. I have to agree with one commenter who said it is not a real belgian waffle. If you want a thick one like you get at a make-it-yourself hotel buffet this isn't the one. For a belgian waffle, it's thin. But it is still delicious, and perfectly cooked. I find it easy to clean. The only way it could possibly be easier to clean is if you could remove the plates. Honestly, though, just a wipe with a paper towel will take off anything. It's also quick and quite solid to store upright on its side without tipping. Cord storage is tedious, however, even for someone like me who usually enjoys little things like that. I've been refusing to twist it up in the storage area because I'm frankly afraid of what it will do to the cord and possibly render it useless before its time. I received the waffle maker quickly and very well packaged. I actually think the manual is helpful - most haven't been - mainly with electronics. I have used it twice and love it. I'm giving away a waffle maker I've had since 1967 - it is time, and I prefer Belgian waffles now. There is no way I could've kept my 1st one as clean as I can see I'll be able to with this one. Shiny chrome is a pain to keep clean - especially with cooked on oil. I'm very happy!"..."  Read more
