Handsome, Silent, Easily Programmable - Excellent!

I had previously purchased the one-watch version of this Wolf Designs "Module 2.7 Viceroy" winder (i.e., the No. 456102), and it is outstanding. Based on that experience I decided to get the No. 456702 'four-watch' model, which essentially has four complete, independently programmable winders in a single cabinet. It's great! With the transparent case front closed, I can't hear it at all when it's running - and it's sitting right here at my desk. What I really like is the programming flexibility of the Module 2.7 system: clockwise, counterclockwise, or bidirectional winding. It also makes good use of the space with its 2 x 2 array and is not as deep, front to back, as the single-watch winder (which is deeper to accommodate batteries for non-AC operation). There is plenty of flexibility in the number of "Turns Per Day" (TPD) - so it's simple to line up the winder's operation with the recommendations of the watch manufacturer. There is also a settable 'delay' function of from 6 to 72 hours - handy if you place a fully wound watch on the winder and want it to 'wind down' to some intermediate level of 'wound up' - so that the mainspring relaxes a bit (and is then maintained at that level by the winder). The display also lets you know where in the daily cycle it is at any time. It does not do all the winding at once, but instead does say 20%, then pauses for a couple of hours, does another 20%, and so on until all the day's turns have been accomplished - and it then "rests" for the remainder of the day (or night) - similar to what you would yourself do if you take your watch off in the evening. All in all, an excellent design. The "cuffs" on which the watches are mounted snap in and out easily, and come in three sizes to best fit different watch and wrist sizes. Recommended! Intelligently designed, good looking, easy to program, quiet, easy to mount / dismount watches, and mimics how one actually wears a watch. Not really a 'con' - but be aware that, unlike the single-watch version, this one is 'AC only' (no battery operation). It's so easy to program that this should not be an issue in most cases.
