Useful product for storage and access.

While it appears streamline, for the last several months the case has performed as described. The size allows the use of limited space very effectively. Assembly directions were good and assembly time for such a product was average. Color was important to the spouse and this product was the best I could find.If Mother is happy, everyone is happy.
pros and cons

It definitely holds a lot of cd's! However, the shelves are a little flimsy. If you fill a shelf with cd's, it bows in the center and leans forward with the weight. Of course, you don't know this until you have put it together and start filling it up, which by that point, it is non-returnable. My husband is looking into finding some longer support mechanisms to prevent the shelves from collapsing. Other than that, they look nice.
Nice and Sturdy!

I am really happy with this multimedia storage rack. It is just what I wanted and needed. It's pretty sturdy for being so big and it holds a lot of multimedia items. I wish that the shelves themselves were a little thicker just to ensure that they were going to hold up over time. So far it's working well. I'm happy with it.

assembly was not easy and very time consuming. Needs two people to set up. Overall it does have plenty of storage

Very nice. easy to assemble. the shelves nee to be better material for the weight of the movies. got a little sag in them. but overall a decent buy.

The reviewers who say the shelves bow are correct - they do. While the manufacturer suggests in the assembly instructions that improper assembly could lead to bowing, I assembled mine properly and they began to bow in under a week. In this price range, there are unfortunately very few options. My recommendation - if you can afford to pay more, do.
Plenty of space! But cheaply made

The front board frames need to be glue on but they still POp off with a little pressure. And the alignment of the back boards ever really matchup
great value, but needs work

Great value for the amount of storage space per dollar and for the footprint. Finish is above average for the price; its not a cheap looking unit and is not intrusive. Fit & assembly were so-so; I would seriously consider fitting the back panels before final fixing of either top or bottom plate. Main problem is that the shelves are thin and flexible, which will lead to serious sag. The solution specified for this (using extra shelf anchors on top to "lock" the shelf in place) is not adequate. If a shelf is filled or if box sets are stored - the shelf will sag quite noticably - this doesn't look good - trust me. I resolved the problem by using angle brackets to brace the middle, but this is a pain to do and not helpful for future reconfigs. Shelves needs to be MUCH stiffer. Also, the decorative vertical elements obscure some shelf space, they need to be thinner. So, great value but be prepared to tweak.
Er... Maybe not

Very pretty bookcase but the most important parts are super cheap. The shelves cannot support more than 10 CDs without sagging like a dying pack mule. 1500 CDs? Maybe 240. This case also has molding around the edge that lays over the shelves obscuring disks behind them and if the shelf is full- you're never getting that one out without removing 5 or 6. Bad design and shotty shelf materials. I'll have to replace 24 shelves because I'm already [$] deep into this thing. If you collect feathers, this is for you. Otherwise I'd take a pass.
GREAT media storage unit!

Assembled quickly and easily. No problems with sagging shelves if you use the locking pegs. The back has also been reinforced in these newer models so when you push the CD's against the back, it doesn't allow the shelf to come off of the shelf supports on the back. I have 2 single, 2 double and one triple unit and they have all worked very well for me. I finally feel organized!
