If you are looking for a great value, this TV stand is the way to go. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. I chose the charcoal color and love it, see the picture and compare the contrast to my black center speaker if you are curious about the color. It took me about 4 hours to put together by myself but I really took my time to ensure I did everything right, that's including unboxing, sorting parts and reading instructions from beggining to end before I even started putting it together. Two day delivery was fantastic and manufacturer includes additional MDF panels on ends of box for added protection during shipping. Have your vaccum cleaner ready to go from the moment you open the box, styrofoam will be everywhere if you don't minimize it from the start. Its MDF so don't over torque anything and you will be fine. As you can see from the pictures, this stand can hold a receiver, Xbox, a cable box, a modem, a laptop and even a small subwoofer without a problem. The small screws that hold the fireplace insert are a pain to screw in but with patience and care you will get it done without too much cursing. The fireplace puts out more than enough heat to warm my master bedroom which is where I placed mine, and the ambiance it creates is great.
