We purchased this for our toddler’s bedroom. We were looking for something sturdy, that could grow with him that is made from SOLID WOOD ... after trolling the internet and several sites, this dresser won and we are thankful to have picked it. It was delivered in two shipments and was heavy to lift into the bedroom. We chose to put it together ourselves. It took somewhere around 5-6 hours to put together. The directions were in the format of pictures only but basically intuitive. I rated it a 5 because, although time consuming to assemble, the color, dimensions, material and aesthetic look were perfect for our needs. I am including pics so you can get a feel for look, wood thickness and finished product. One note about assembly that the manufacturer may or may not agree with ... in the tips/how-to section they recommend not using a drill. I would start many screws with a manual screwdriver, but if I didn’t drive them in with the drill my hands would be killing me. I set the devil to the slowest speed possible and went very slowly so as to not strip the screws or crack the wood. We are planning on lining the drawers since the base of the drawers is just plywood. They are 15” deep and 24” wide in case you want to purchase any kind of lining.. Debra. I love my dresser, it arrived in perfect condition. I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that we had to leave the drawers open and empty for 2 months to outgas the formaldehyde fumes. We could not use it during this period. My son and daughter in law also purchased the nightstands for us. We opened them yesterday and unfortunately they are damaged. I would say it could have been from the way they were stacked on top of each other at delivery. We were not there at the time. It has taken this long before we could get help to open and move in the nightstands. Good design and strong wood but the size of the cabinets and side openings are small and doesn’t satisfy the fictional side . Doors are not soft closing and need to push close everytime are they leave open . For this price I expect bit more fictional . Only good thing is it matches the bed design .. Rithin. I don’t understand where all these complaints are coming from on these other buyers. This dresser is top notch it’s pure wood at a cheap price. It isn’t going to fall apart and if it does it will need a lot of force being that it’s pure wood. If ever anything comes loose it can easily be fixed it’s pure wood and if something bad happens is either you didn’t know how to put it together or you Just sat on it instead of your couch. Just being funny about sitting on it. For those who haven’t bought this dresser and can’t decide I say buy it. This dresser is built like steel. Some assembly required!! Whole chest needs to be assembled. And it's not easy. The bottom piece is very heavy, to prevent tipping. I could not lift it myself. Thanks to my handy husband, we have a cute dresser. Took at least 3 hours to assemble. Not a good value for someone who has no tools, cannot lift heavy items or has no knowledge of carpentry.. Linda.
