Perfect product quality product for my needs. from ferndale, CA on 05/13/2015 – Verified Buyer
I was worried that these racks wouldn't be sturdy enough, especially considering the low price, but they are awesome! I can't go slamming into them with a big load, like a stationary rack, but I wasn't excepting to be able to. I feel safe when using them with a heavy load. I would recommend these to anyone looking to get lifting racks for there garage. I had been looking for racks for awhile, but they are pretty expensive. These were totally affordable and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Pros: AWESOME price, I like how they are portable, sturdy

Good, But Not As Good As A Cage from Michigan on 07/25/2014 – Verified Buyer
If you can afford and/or have room for a cage, get that instead. However, if you're short on funds or if you have limited room for workout equipment in your home (or both, as is my situation), then this is a good rack to have to help you do bench presses, squats, and shoulder presses.

The stands can be a bit wobbly, even with weight on them, which is why I only gave this four stars. Still, it will do its job and is good for someone trying to make a home gym on a budget.

Great price and product with one flaw from San Diego, CA on 07/23/2011
I have had these stands for several weeks and am overall very happy with them. The stands are well made and have worked great as squat stands, overhead press stands, and bench press stands. The height is easily adjusted and the adjustable safety posts are great for those who train alone.

The only reason I did not give them five stars is due to the design of the bar safety clips (i.e. the chrome bent rods that you're supposed to flip over the bar while you're adding/removing weights to help prevent the bar from flipping off the stands). Unfortunately, the clips are not long enough or angled correctly to secure the bar properly. I was looking forward to this feature due to the fact that I train alone and wanted to be able to add/remove weight without having to worry about having to hold the bar in place. Really, this is just a minor annoyance and does not affect the function of the stands at all. These stands cannot be beat for the price and quality. Overall a great buy.

Great Stands from Cordova, TN on 07/29/2013 – Verified Buyer
Was worried about stability, but they hold up just fine. They're great because you can use any size bar with them. Just move them closer for a short bar and farther apart for a long bar. Can't get that type of diversity with a normal squatbench press.

Great space saving option from San Juan, TX on 06/01/2014 – Verified Buyer
I have purchased two sets for my garage gym. I am limited on space, and these are holding up amazingly. Great substitute to a power rack.

be careful from south euclid, OH on 03/25/2015 – Verified Buyer
I can only give the Bd - 8 stands 3 stars only because the safety spotter arms are a joke. What's the chance if you are failing to return the bar to the holder that you will be in a position to get it to that little landing strip. Changes are you would be out of strength. Since these are for home use, safety is very important. Squats without a spotter require a good built in spotter. I just purchased 2 steel saw horses and placed them on either side. Problem solved and can put horses up when done.

Cons: safety arms are a joke and could be dangerous

Good value from Chicago, IL on 11/06/2011 – Verified Buyer
Overall, they work fine. It takes a while to adjust the height because the safety bars need to be screwed in each time you change the height - but I've found out that it takes about the right amount of time that you should rest anyway between exercises.

The safety catch bars have already come in handy for bench presses, but I'm not sure how useful they would be if I found myself in trouble doing squats.

If you're lifting heavy weight (200+), I'd put 25s on the storage pegs to keep the stands stable.

Bottom line is that they're the cheapest squat stands I could find that seemed durable. No regrets in buying these.
