Nice rack from VT on 06/11/2014 – Verified Buyer
I wanted to wait a few months before reviewing. I bought this over the BD-11 ultimately based on height, and price. The BD-11, with the shape of the pull up bar, gives it a few extra inches, which would put my head in the rafters. This rack was just right. The price was also really good, especially on Wayfair, being almost $100 less than other places. Also, they said it was backordered, so make sure when it comes in that you're ready to order immediately when the email comes in, because if you wait too long, it will be backordered again. That said, it only took a few days, rather than the month they thought it would.

The rack came in a couple boxes. The instructions were pretty easy to understand, although, they're complicated and took some time to read and parse through. Make sure to pay attention to the diagram as well as the text/steps. Some of the parts came as sub-assemblies, and it didn't always say that, but they are shown as separate parts. So, if you're short some bolts and nuts, they might be assembled into something else.

A couple of the frame pieces where they connect were bent, but they still fit together, so there's some tolerance there.

I read some reviews about folks not having enough room in the cage. This isn't a problem for me, as I'm rather small. I'm 5'5" and can do military press in the cage, but taller folks might not be able to. Another thing, there's a bar to hold yourself down when pulling more than your body weight with pull down...I keep knocking that out of place as I sit down.

Anyway. This is an incredible value for a beginner power rack considering it comes with a lat pull station. The liftoffs are good, the safety bars are solid (only dropped something once so far). I'm really pleased with this purchase.

Great value and quality from Ofallon, MO on 07/19/2013
I recently got this item and was blown away by it. The instructions weren't too bad, no parts are labeled, you need to measure the bolts to see what size they are so you can attach them correctly(but there is a ruler on the first page of instructions). If you're worried about stability, don't be. I'm 220 and this thing doesn't rock when I do pull ups. If you have the space, it's easy to assemble by yourself, I did it in I think 3 hours at a very leisurely pace. When thinking about a location for it, the lat pole sticks out about a foot or so off the back, so be conscious of that. If you scrape the metal with wrenches when you're attaching everything, don't freak out, it comes with a thing of grey paint.

The only bad things I've experienced are very few honestly. When I unfolded the cables for the lat pull, one of them had a small steel wire poking out of where the fishhole loop was and I stuck myself. Ouch. The other was that the top of the lat pole was caved in a little. I'm not sure if this was from mishandling or just the way it formed from production, but I had to hammer the metal outward to get the part that attaches it to the cage into it. Everything else was great. I shopped around ALOT and did ALOT of reading trying to find the right cage for my needs that was affordable, and this fit the bill perfectly. Can't give it a 55 because of what was wrong with it, but if you want a rack, get it. You will not be dissatisfied!

Decent rack for the money from Sault Sainte Marie, MI on 03/10/2013 – Verified Buyer
This rack is quite inexpensive for what you get (the rack with lat pull and row attachments). For that I give it high marks. However, I still haven't been able to use the latrow attachments as one of the large beams has a defect in that it has no holes for the bolts to go through. I called Valor Fitness and they were helpful and are sending me the part but it was somewhat disappointing as the installation to that point had gone fairly well. I've used it so far for bench press and squats and it does what it's supposed to for those exercises. It doesn't have the feel of a commercial rack as it is narrow and doesn't feel as solid but it certainly doesn't have the price tag of a commercial rack either. Overall I am happy with the rack and believe once it's totally together will serve me well in my workouts for a long time to come.

Good Cage from Fontana on 03/22/2013
This is a great rack for the beginner to intermediate weight lifter. A few things would make it much better though. One would be the bar hooks. They are too long which allows that bar to roll and they also slightly interfere when doing a bench press. Simple j-hooks would have done a better job. The square guide rod for the pulley system is another concern. It is not very smooth and would work much better if it was circular and included bearings. All in all it gets the job done but I would recommend buying a cheaper cage equipped with actual j hooks and simply making your own pulley system attachment. It's easier than you might think, check out this site for a lot of DIY gym ideas http:www.home-gym-bodybuilding.comhomemade-equipment.html

Excellent quality! from Paducah, KY on 09/11/2014 – Verified Buyer
Great piece of equipment. Sturdy, stable and built to last. Have been using it practically everyday since mid July and couldn't be more pleased or impressed. The cable system is smooth and changing weight is fast with the handy plate storage on each side. The pull-up bar is a nice added touch and I also purchased the dip bars, which are extremely effective on triceps, and are of good quality construction. I highly recommend the BD-7 Power Rack by Valor Fitness.

Works excellent from Calgary, AB on 04/21/2015 – Verified Buyer
It does exactly what I want it to. However, it took almost 2 months from the time I ordered this to the time it was delivered. And I had to modify my squat bar because this rack is wider than my bar by about 1".

Great piece of equipment! from bryant,Arkansas on 05/13/2012 – Verified Buyer
This is one of the best fitness/workout purchases I have ever bought. The rack is sturdy and the bar to hold down your legs while doing lat pulldowns is a well thought of design that you will not find in another rack. The reviewer that has lat pulldown issues probably just needs to install the bushings on the top and bottom of the sliding mechanism that holds the weights. If you don't have them...mine were pre-installed, call the company and request them sent to you. I'm sure they will send them your way ASAP. When you call this company, you will get to talk with the owner and not some dueschbag. (: I would recommend to the other guy with issues to do the same. I also bought the Ironmaster Super Bench, which is unbelievable, and I recommend it as well.

Solid Power Rack from Monterey Park, CA on 05/22/2013 – Verified Buyer
This this another Valor item that is very well built. I also have the bench to go with this. This was easy to assemble.

I've been using this for a while and I can do just about every workout in the cage except for the inclined bench. There is no way to set the incline at a normal angle and still work in the cage. It's a little too narrow so I either have to use low incline or come outside the cage. I never used the lats pull down so I can't comment how the cable performs. This rack held up very sturdy and doesn't shake or rattles like other cheap home gym equipment.

Awesome from United States on 08/30/2013 – Verified Buyer
Set up is somewhat tedious, but can be assembled by one person. Expect around 2-3 hours if you're setting up by yourself. Packaging is good, but bolts aren't labeled too great. Very sturdy and only sways slightly when doing pull-up. Carabiners are kind of cheap, but still do their job adequately.

Overall, It is a great machine with a lot of attachments and great quality to start a home gym with.

Best price I found was on Wayfair as well by at least $75.

This rack is GREAT! from United States on 03/03/2014 – Verified Buyer
I put it together myself in about 2 hours with basic tools. It is sturdy, I researched racks a lot and kept seeing the best reviews for this one, and for the price (which includes lat attachment) Could not be beat! The shipping was free and I had both boxes at my door in 2 days.
