Actually I got these as an after thought. I was buying a stand and saw these in clearance for $94.00. I had been not seriously looking for some speaker stands that were 24" in height and these seemed to fit the bill. Not familiar with them, I did some quick searching and saw they normally sell for around $200 so thought I would give them a try. I am pretty happy with them. Includes spikes for the stands themselves plus spikes for where the speaker sits. It has adhesive plastic discs you can put on your speaker to keep the spikes from messing up the wood.
Good quality and value

I bought these for my Paradigm Studio 20 v.4 bookshelf speakers. These are very heavy speakers. I was faced with either buying $500 Paradigm stands or these. Based on other reviews, I elected the less expensive VTI VSP stands. I think it was a good decision. While not custom-made for the Paradigms, nor are solid as more expensive stands, they are a good value compromise. The speaker spikes keep a good grip on the speakers. Also, the adjustable stand spikes easily allowed me to level the stands on my uneven (carpeted) basement floor.
Excellent for heavy bookshelf speakers

I needed a pair of stands for some heavy bookshelf speakers. I looked at all of the currently available options. These stands are heavy and have the stability to hold these speakers - about 40 lbs each. The floor spikes work well on the carpet to achieve stability. The aluminum extrusion post and the cast iron base look very good and hide the speaker cable well. I'm very pleased
Excellent value for money

I have put my Bowers and Wilkins CM-1 speakers on this stand. I am using them as surround sound speakers (I know, I know, expensive surround sounds). The speakers on the stands look really nice. The construction was quite easy with solidly fitting parts although a novice may find the instructions or lack thereof quite frustrating.
LSIM 703 pedestal

I ordered the 30" stands to support my 35lb Polk LSIM 703 bookshelf speakers. Even without sand they are fairly heavy (good). They arived in a couple of days (good), they were real easy to assemble and they have no defects in the finish (Great). I saw a pair of Sanus stands that looked very similiar to these VTI stands at a Starpower store here is Dallas, they were asking $500 for the pair,,,,,That makes this an excellent deal, Thats my story and I am sticking to it:)
Stand Up Speaker Stands

Pros: well made, easily put together, aesthetically functional. These stands will stand up to any costing twice as much or more. Wire maintenance system excellent.

Cannot be happier. Maybe a bit expensive if u compare this set to cheap one. This is excactly what i was looking for. Heavy cast iron base, nice alluminium frame and solid metal plate on top. The only negative that i already know by reading comments here was : U need to buy longeur screw for the base if u dont want to spoil the tread on the allumiunium tube. And the seal for base is cheap, but i did not fill the tube with sand. Im very happy of my purshase.
Good quality and value!

Overall a good set of speaker stands. The base is wide, offering good stability and the center column can be filled to make then even more stable. Only issue, I have odd shaped speakers (DefTech rears), and the spikes on the top plate are not adjustable to the shape of the speaker.
