Pristine: Uwharrie products can also be ordered in a ''pristine'' or painted finish. If you are seeking a completely painted surface with little to no distress, you should select pristine. Insect and rot resistant, the furniture requires no additional protection from exposure to weather. This is why it is possible to distress the finish on Uwharrie Chairs, giving them the appearance of time-worn antiques. You should expect to see some additional loss of paint and some surface cracking; exposed wood will eventually turn dark; the wood will even warp slightly from time to time. This makes each piece unique, and slightly different from the rest. Even as nature matures your furniture, the wood and the product will remain structurally sound for years to come.
