I've had this knife now for over a year and I am extremely pleased with it.
This knife in particular is very good for slicing thin slices of tomato, onion, potato or whatever you need thin slices of. Great also for slicing the long skinny loaves of french baguette bread, salami, summer sausage, cheese, etc. I find myself using this knife frequently as it also serves as a utility knife.
The size is also perfect -- not too long.
If you're hesitant about spending the $$ for a "Classic" Wusthof knife, don't be!! In the long run, they're worth it and you'll be happy you did.
I own 6 or 7 Wusthof knives and purchased them according to what I would use each for -- I found this to be better than buying a whole "set" where I might not ever use each knife in the entire "set".
