Good for the price from Bethpage, TN on 09/04/2014 – Verified Buyer
We bought this bunk bed for my boys, ages 6 and 3. I was worried at first because after we bought it, I had seen where some people said it needed a "bunky board", but once we received it and put it together, we realized it was fine as is. Each bed has several (six, I believe) sturdy wooden slats that go across the bottom to hold the mattresses. I love the built-in ladder, though it is pretty narrow and wouldn't accommodate a larger child or teenager very well. It took my husband about 2-3 hours to put it together with only a small amount of help from me. Every piece was labeled, and the directions were easy to follow. The only nitpicky thing I have to say is that all the little labels are not easy to remove and leave a little sticky residue behind on the wood. I'm sure I could get it off with something but haven't tried. All in all, we are happy with these beds...the color, the style, functionality, and the ease of assembly.

Be careful! from Poway, CA on 02/15/2015
The bunk bed looks nice when assembled, but be careful when picking off the annoying stickers. I rubbed the first one off using my finger and then gently used a fingernail to scrape the remaining piece off. The finish on the wood came off! I'm going to try Goo-Gone on the rest and hope I don't ruin it any more. I can only imagine what it will be like when our two grandsons (6, 4) are scampering up the ladder. Also, be careful with the two small vertical pieces (R) on the top bunk -- they do NOT fit the entire space between top of the top rail and bottom of the bottom rail. Decide ahead of time (before screwing it in place) where you want the piece to be. It would have been nice if the holes had been predrilled on pieces N and R so there would not have been the opportunity for a screw up (pun intended). The bunk bed is solid, the number of slats (7) is plenty for each mattress.

Great Bunk Bed for the price from Forest Hills, NY on 01/02/2014 – Verified Buyer
Got this bunk bed in white for my 4-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy. White color looks great for a shared boy & girl bedroom - modern and simple. We've had it for about a month now and it is holding up fine and seems very sturdy. My husband, who is a carpenter, used his cordless power drill with a allen key shaped bit to assemble the bed. He really recommends using a cordless power drill or else it will take all day to assemble! It took him about 2 hours to assemble with the power drill. Overall very happy with this purchase. Good quality and good looks for a good price. And the kids love it too!

Not as solid as everyone says it is from Amsterdam, NY on 07/25/2014 – Verified Buyer
Going off the reviews I took a chance and purchased the white bunk for my 2 daughters (3 and 7). It was not hard to put together (powerdrill is needed with allen key bit). I the quality is better than the cheap stuff you find out there but no way should you consider this solid wood. I guess other reviewers have never dealt with real wood before. My girls love it, my wife loves it, So I guess I have to like it (dont love it). Definitely needs a bunk board if u follow the directions when putting on the planks. I did not and spread them out about 8 1/2 inches apart and it seems to hold up better. Most definitely needs more planks and you will need to buy some wood and cut it yourself and add it to the bed.

Incredibly sturdy and looks great in the kids room from Cary, NC on 11/15/2015 – Verified Buyer
Assembling this was fairly easy, the instructions were easy to read and if you have one I recommend either a power drill with an allen bit attachment but if not the one they provide isn't bad. A torque screw driver came in handy when installing the slats helped save my brother and mine's knuckles. It reminds me of some college dorm beds but not in a bad way. I've seen those hold up some impressively large people so I feel my kids are safe. The box is heavy when it gets delivered and I was stupid and tried to get it in the house on my own, don't be stupid like me ask for help unless you're already super strong. The fact that it can separate out into two separate beds when we move and he kids get their own separate rooms is awesome. You do need two people at least for the assembling into a bunk bed portion. Otherwise one person could assemble both beds on their own with only minor grumbles of frustration. Pros: Great value, fast shipping, sturdy, looks great, easy to build Cons: Needs two people to make it a bunk bed

Sturdy bunk bed, good value! from Valley Village, CA on 07/08/2014 – Verified Buyer
We ordered this bunk bed in white for our sons who are 2 and almost 4. We'd looked around at tons of other bunks and decided upon this for it's smart & classic style, price and also after reading other reviews. It arrived earlier than predicted which was great and apart from lifting one bed on top of the other, my husband put it together pretty easily and by himself in around an hour. Only slight problem was that one pary of the ladder had the holes drilled on the wrong side, but customer service was great and got a replacement part out to us in 2 days, amazing! Some reviewers have mentioned damaged parts and while there were a couple of small dents and scratches they really aren't that noticeable and let's face it, with two high energy boys using the beds I'm pretty sure they will be creating their own dents and scratches over time!!! All in all I would recommend this bunk bed and I think it's great value for money.

Beds are not identical when de-bunked from Cleveland, Ohio on 10/01/2014 – Verified Buyer
I purchased this set for my sons who are 2.5 and 4.5. They are too young to use them as bunkbeds. The photos I viewed before purchasing the set seemed to indicate that the beds would look identical when separated. That is not the case. The lower bunk has corner posts that extend higher than the top bunk. The photos I viewed seemed to hide that fact, though I later went back and saw that photos for the other finishes made the difference clear. The beds were easy to assemble, appear sturdy, and were extremely cost effective.

Great Bunks from NY on 11/04/2014 – Verified Buyer
Plan on at least 2 hours to assemble. Well worth it for the price. I LOVE the way they look set up. Clean lines and simple. The ladder takes up no floor space, Love that. I bought 6" memory foam mattresses from Wayfair to go with these and they are perfect!! So comfortable! My 14 yr old and 11 yr old are happy. Using at our vaca home. Not too tall, which I like but if you're looking for being able to sit up on lower bunk you want a taller set. Overall, I'm very happy with this set AND Wayfair...Keep it up!

Great beds! from San Jose, CA on 03/15/2015 – Verified Buyer
These bunk beds have been great. We've had them for almost a year. They were best put together with two people for stability and ease, but they assembled fairly easily and look very nice when completed. Love that they can come apart for 2 separate twin beds, as we've just moved to a new home and 2 separate beds works better for us than a single bunk bed did in the last house. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the stickers which labeled the pieces for assembly did NOT come off easily and caused some trouble with the finish.

Worth it from Latham, NY on 11/04/2014 – Verified Buyer
This bunk is simple but elegant. It took me around 3 hours to assemble with the help of a electric screw driver and my 4 year old son. It fits in our apartment perfectly. The unit comes with 7 slats per bunk. Some folks mentioned more slats would be better but I believe that's not the case as more screws can weaken the integrity of the side rails. I purchased a bunk box aka home-depot lumber section 1/2 inch thick ply wood the length of the mattress for added support.
