Not worth the $$$ in my opinion

I was excited to get this desk as it was small, white, and had clean lines. However, I was very disappointed when it was delivered. I took pictures of the packaging because it was beat up, ripped, and I feared the worse. luckily, it all seemed to be intact. It was an assembly much like IKEA which was nice, minus that fact that it is built out of shabby materials. I did not expect solid wood or anything like that, but for the price I expected better than I got. Most of the edges are ragged and or chipped, the drawers are made of some super light mdf coated with plastic and they do not pull out smooth at all. Am I using it? yes, it is all I have for now, but I will be keeping my eye out for something better for sure.

I received this desk today. It did take a while to put together, given there are tons of pieces to put together, which is a downside, but not a deal breaker for me. This is incredibly solid construction the sturdy metal legs connect with large bolts to a metal back (which then gets covered with the white wood). It also weighs over 50 lbs, which is a good thing in my eyes, as it sits solidly on the floor and does not sway. The only thing that I don't like is that the metal rails which the drawers are connected to are not all calibrated to extend the same distance, so each of my drawers opens a different amount. I'm sure I can figure out a way to fix this, though. Also, this holds over 60 lbs on the top and 7 lbs per drawer, which is more than adequate for my 27 desktop and work and school papers. All in all, it has some flaws, but the pluses make up for the negatives in my book. Love it!

Excellent value! Perfect size for a small area. Very easy to assemble. Finish on the desk surface and chrome legs is really nice. I would definitely recommend this piece.
