We looked everywhere in our city for a black TV stand large enough to fit our big screen TV. Most stores did not have black in stock and others wanted to charge a shipping fee to special order the color black and then charge over $500 for the stand itself! I didn't have a pic to go with my original review, now I do. Note the modified floor with 6 caster wheels attached. The stand weighs +130lbs, the TV weighs 93lbs, the outboard gear is well over 50lbs. If you need to change a piece of A/V gear, do maintenance or repair, you have to get behind it! Each of the 6 wheels are rated for 75lbs, they're attached to 1/2" plywood which is attached to the bottom of the stand, I used some very inexpensive 1/2" wood trim to clean up the rough look of the plywood then painted it black. I also left off the 2 drawers to stack gear in and the left cabinet to place the subwoofer in. The right cabinet has a shelf and is cavernous, it holds all my VCR tapes, CD/DVDs and cleaning supplies for the TV. I'll be adding black handles to the top of the stand on the edges to aid in moving, it is so bleepin' heavy. What a great piece of gear, glad I got this stand."..."  Read more

This is an unusually handsome contemporary 74" TV stand with ample compartments for components. Fortunately, I had 2 moving men (very good carpenters) to put it together, as it required numerous screws. It is however worth the time, as it is very well priced and is, what I term"understated elegance." It is also well designed and perfect for a low, contemporary style, glass tabled living room.
