I'd first like to say that the other reviewer remarking about the difficulty assembling the stool is wrong. You need to use a hammer to move the part that swivels and connects the legs to the seat. The other part that someone would have a hard time with are the four screws to connect the seat the the swivel part. For this you need to use a square bit and NOT a philip's head screw driver.
You can not beat the price for a tall bar stool. I have a bar top on a half wall and 29" stools were just too short. These 34" stools are perfect. The construction is really sturdy and will last a long time. Although, the steel band that's used as a foot rest can hurt your feet if you just have socks or just bare feet and like to spin around, but a pair of shoes or some slippers will solve this problem. The back rest has some give to it that I like, the seat has ample padding, and the finish looks great. My 5'3" girlfriend has to jump up to get on (she doesn't mind much).
