I've never bought one of these before, but am very happy I did. I've been using this every day for almost a month, and love it. It's at a slight incline, so you can't run on this treadmill, but it is a smooth and a quiet manual walk. The gauges I most appreciate the ones which keep you appraised of the speed at which you're walking, and the time you've walked so far.My family helped me put this treadmill together; I'm not good at assembling things; they said it wasn't very difficult. We bought the machine six weeks ago. We currently have three family members using the treadmill with two of us using it almost every day. It is great for running and walking. Even at 7 or 8 miles an hour the unit is very stable with a runner and extremely smooth when walking. Setup was great and fairly easy right out of the box. The unit is very heavy and was a challenge by myself. Having someone to help is better. The fan to cool the motor is noisier than I expected and my unit had a random squeak right out of the box in the belt. I have ordered their synthetic lubricant."..."  Read more

Fits into small spaces where a powered treadmill wouldn't fit. My only serious issue with it is the fixed slope - I would prefer if the slope of the belt was adjustable."

This is a very nice treadmill. Same quality that they have in the FitCorp or Boston Sports Club near me here in Boston. Comes with the upright un-assembled in a box that 3 medium size men could move pretty easily. Assembled in about 10 minutes. Very nice looking!
