Trash Cans

I was desperately looking for a multi-section trash can that was big enough to deal with the amount of recyclable and compost trash we generate and this fits the bill. The separate pails are the perfect size. To be sure, the stainless steel cans are sleeker looking but this can actually has the capacity to get the job done, doesn't cost a fortune, and is very easy to use and clean. I just finally got tired of those trash bags that always fell down in the can yet the kids kept putting trash in. I seemed to be the one that always had to dig in there and straighten it out, not to mention that they continually overfilled it and the lid wouldn't even close. Say goodbye to all of those issues with this sweet little item. The simple liner holder eliminates the bag falling down and folding over. The lid simply will not operate if the can is overfilled. You can operate it will your hands full, and even better, you can plug it into a wall outlet with an adapter. It does it all! It works great and was the hit at a recent party here. It encourages folks to throw away their trash as well. Love love it. It seems to be making some rather odd noises lately, which gives way to some worry about the mechanics. I use this touchless trashcan in the kitchen. It holds a regular 13 gallon liner and contains odors exceptionally well. My only negative comment is that it doesn't seem to recognize glass or clear paper/plastic items and you have to twist your hand so that the beam can see your hand in order for it to open. The same is true with the auto closing mechanism. I will be scraping food off of a glass plate into the trash and the lid closes - I have to either turn off the auto open/close feature or keep waving my hand in front of it while trying to scrape the plate. But if you don't have clear dinnerware, this won't be a problem. Other than that, this item is fun, functional, and a real crowd pleaser/conversation piece when I have guests over."..."  Read more
