TransGlobe Lighting Outdoor Wall Lantern in Antique Pewter - 5110 AP/5111 AP

After lots of time looking for outdoor lights that I not only liked but were reasonably priced, I decided on these. I am not disappointed. This outdoor light is a really good quality for the price and looks great. The antique pewter finish gives my home an updated look and is different from all the black fixtures on every other house.

You would like the thick, heavy two-piece, GLASS globe that this wall lantern has. We found it dressy in our courtyard, and useful at our garage door, without making a fuss about it. Other lanterns seem to be too busy with excess metal gratings, strappings, whoop-di-doo designs for no good reason. The upward, outward curve of the lower globe half holder indicates a soaring spirit -- we think. And where else have you seen this feature Practically, the light bulb is totally enclosed and isolated from any possible bug infestation, as many outdoor lanterns are. ONE MANUFACTURER DESIGN FLAW The threaded aluminum tube which suspends the globes hefty weight, is weak at the threads and can snap off, requiring a new wiring tube be retrofitted. Otherwise, this lantern would have gotten a FIVE star. But the price sure is right for this attractive lantern. We bought SIX of them, and easily installed.
