Train Sets & Train Tables

I have been looking for this item for several months and finally found it for a reasonable price [...] so I snapped it up. It was very easy to assemble - all the pieces were included and all the holes lined up with the hardware necessary for assembly (a rare attribute with self assembly items these days). It looks great and appears to be sturdy and made of good quality. I love the height - it's perfect for my 3 year old. I also like that there is no train/car/neighborhood design permanently on the table top, so it can be used for many things. She can use it for trains, blocks, puzzles, coloring, just about anything. These cars are really cool because five of the six can detach from the wheels and are interchangeable, they fit with the standard wooden tracks, and the cars with the double wheels pivot. This is by far the best train set that I have found and I did alot of research before choosing this one. It is almost all wood construction except for a couple of pieces. The best thing about this set is that it is almost all track, trains, and roundhouse with very few filler pieces such as trees. My son's favorite Christmas gift was a small Thomas track and trains. When I found this I was amazed at the price, and on [...] I saw reviews that said it did fit the Thomas stuff. I can say it's not the most perfect fit, but it does work. And it's a heck of a lot cheaper than Thomas.
