This toy box is amazing. It's the perfect size for my 2 year old to easily reach inside and find her toys but large enough to fit her big bulky toys. I love the fact that it does not automatically close, which means that I never have to worry that it's going to smash her fingers. There are little notches on the side and front of the toy chest so that she can get her hands under the lid and lift it with ease. AND, it's such a comfy bench that looks great in our house. I bought the brown toy box a year ago and loved it so much that when we're decorating our second son's room we decided on the blue one! The soft material is great so my toddler doesn't get hurt when he runs into it and the lid doesn't slam down so he loves moving it up and down and I don't have to worry about his fingers getting crushed! This is the second one I bought and will never buy or recommend any other! It comes completely assembled, looks fantastic, great quality, and is padded nicely. I don't have to worry about my baby getting hurt on the edges because none of them are sharp, and it can also be used as a seat which is very nice as she gets older. Other toy boxes I searched were about $20-$30 less than this one but spending the extra money is well worth it since it will last for years! A friend of mine bought a wooden one for [$] less and the top broke off and her son has hurt himself several times on the edges. She is now buying this toy box and wishes she did in the first place.
