We got this with our twin 22 month old boys' names. I used 11 characters for Jimmy&David. They were kind enough to add spaces, so it looks better than I had hoped.
The quality is top notch. Easy to assemble. I really like the slow close mechanism. It is in the center, and makes it quite difficult to smash fingers. Because it takes some force to close it, it is easy for one to remove fingers before other brother smashes them. It is not tall enough inside for them to sit and close the lid---they tried before we taught them that it is for toys.
We showed them how to clean up and put toys away. Now they do it with/for us each night.
After on full day of use, I noticed a crack in the wood on one side. I contacted KidKraft, and they said they would send me a replacement part. I still give it 5 stars--as long as the part arrives. If not, I will be updating my review.
One other comment--I saw some pictures of the toy box online without the wheels. I was hoping no to use wheels for now. My twins tend to move things around, and I don't want them to use it to help climb over the baby gate. The design of the back piece does not allow for not using the wheels. The box will not sit flat without wheels. Fortunately for us, it is in the corner between the wall and a heavy couch, so they can't move it on the carpet."..." Read more
