I did notice a little discoloration on the knives once or twice when put in the dishwasher. Nothing like others I have owned. If you rinse knives after using on oily foods like margarine, butter, and mayonaise it will decrease the chance of rusty discoloration on them. I love this set! Was this helpful? Yes / No
