Total Chef Double Treat Ice Cream Maker

As soon as I got a chance I tore open the box, read the directions, bought the missing ingredients and set out for my first batch of at-home ice cream yumness. Vanilla on one side. Chocolate on the other. I even followed the directions to a T and added the pinch of salt that I never ever add under normal circumstances. Ice cream is just too important to tweak. Unfortunately what I ended up with after the hours of waiting was not much more than frozen sugary heavy cream. Ice cream? Technically I suppose it was still that. It was cream and it did freeze like ice. But "ice cream" in the yum sense? Nope. I may make another attempt with frozen yogurt or one of the other recipes in the booklet at some point, but it may make just as much sense to pop a container of yogurt in the freezer from the get go & get my frozen yogurt without running down my batteries .... or my patience.
